The public afterschool track lets students stay in their current school while stepping into real, paid apprenticeship work.
In the public afterschool program, students remain enrolled in their local middle or high school and join Apprentsix for several hours each week after the regular school day. They keep their existing teachers, friends, and activities, while adding a structured apprenticeship focused on project management, financial literacy, and real‑world problem‑solving.
During afterschool hours, apprentices work one‑on‑one with mentors on live projects for community partners, businesses, and organizations. They practice planning, budgeting, communication, and analysis in ways that connect directly back to what they are learning in class. Schools gain an aligned extension of their day; families gain a safe, productive place where teens earn money, build a portfolio, and start working toward future credentials—all without changing schools.
