Personalized Competency-Based High School
Find Your Own Way!
Not all High Schools are built the same. Build Yours!
Our Philosophy
CAM stands for Competency, Application, and Mastery—your “three stages of leveling up” in the Apprentsix journey.
Competency – “Show me you know it.”
You learn the core skills of project management: planning a quest (project), organizing your party (team), tracking gold and time (budget and schedule), and talking to the people who matter (stakeholders). You prove understanding through checklists, challenges, and short demonstrations.Application – “Show me you can use it.”
Now you take those skills into real quests in your school, church, or community. You help run events, solve problems for local businesses, or build new programs. Your mentor watches, supports, and signs off when you can use each skill reliably in the real world.Mastery – “Show me you can lead it.”
At this level, you are no longer just helping—you are leading. You plan and run full projects, guide newer apprentices, and make decisions when things do not go as planned. Your work becomes a portfolio you can show to colleges, employers, and future clients.
Instead of just grades on a report card, CAM tracks your progress like a skill tree in a game: each node is a real ability you can actually use, not just something you listened to once. When your CAM map is full of completed skills, you are ready to ride out , as mentor, a knight. You will be a project manager, a project leader with your own banner—and possibly your own business.
A One-on-One High School, Built Around Your Future
Imagine a teenager who can’t sit still in a chair all day, who learns best by doing, building, testing, and moving. In a traditional classroom, they are labeled distracted or disengaged. In a one-on-one setting, that same energy becomes an asset—lessons adapt to their pace, their interests, and their way of learning.
Now picture a student who understands a concept the first time, but has to wait weeks for the rest of the class to catch up. Or another who needs extra time and attention, but feels lost in a room of 25 other students. In a one-on-one high school program, both students get what they actually need: focused attention, flexible pacing, and a teacher who designs learning around them—not the other way around.
If you’ve ever felt that school could be different—that it could feel more personal, more human, and more connected to real life—you’re not alone. Keep reading to see how a one-on-one high school experience can turn that hope into a real option for you or your student.
Apprentsix is a personalized, project and competency based high school program where students gain mastery, college credit, and industry credentials while building a personalized curriculum around their own career-path choices. You can't get away with not learning what has to be learned to function in society, but you can certainly have a say in how you are going to learn it.

More than a classroom an Experience
Practical experience plus one‑on‑one mentoring gives high‑school students a kind of growth that textbooks alone cannot touch. In real projects, teens see how planning, communication, and responsibility shape what actually happens for real people—events run more smoothly, problems get solved, and ideas become visible outcomes. That relevance wakes them up: school is no longer “someday,” it is “right now.”
One‑to‑one instruction adds a powerful advantage. A dedicated mentor knows the student’s strengths and gaps, adjusts the difficulty, and connects each lesson to the apprentice’s current project. Misunderstandings are caught early, feedback is immediate, and wins are noticed and celebrated. Over time, this combination of practical work and individualized guidance builds skill, confidence, and a clear identity shift—from “just a student” to “someone who can lead real projects and eventually a real business.”
Core Fundamentals for every student
These Core Fundamentals are the habits, mindsets, and skills every Apprentsix student is intentionally coached to develop. They sit underneath every course and project, shaping how students think, lead, and work with others in the real world.
Leading people: Students practice guiding peers, organizing work, and supporting others to reach shared goals.
Leading change: Learners adapt to new information, improve processes, and respond effectively when plans shift.
Collaboration: Students work in teams, build trust, share responsibility, and contribute to group success.
Business acumen: Learners explore how organizations operate, create value, and make informed financial and strategic decisions.
Logic: Students use structured thinking to analyze information, evaluate options, and make sound conclusions.
Results driven: Learners set clear goals, track progress, and stay focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Communication: Students practice speaking, writing, and presenting clearly to different audiences.
Problem solving: Learners identify root causes, design creative solutions, and test ideas in real projects.
Self-management: Students manage time, energy, and priorities while taking ownership of their learning.
Professionalism: Learners show reliability, meet deadlines, and uphold high standards in all their work.
Our Mission
The mission of Apprentsix is to prepare students for the workforce while helping them choose a career they will genuinely enjoy. When you are doing something you love, it rarely feels like work. To make that possible, students must learn to understand why things are the way they are—and how to make them better over time. That is why project management is a core foundation of our program. It trains students to see the “why” behind people, processes, and technology, and how each one connects. By learning to analyze systems, ask better questions, and lead meaningful change, students gain a mindset that serves them in any career they choose.
As an Apprentsix student, you will:
Explore project-management-based careers in a structured way so you can choose a path that fits you.
Build practical project management skills you can use in any job or industry.
Learn how to improve the systems around you, not just operate within them.
Develop confidence by completing real projects with real outcomes and feedback.
Graduate with clarity about your next steps and a toolkit you can take anywhere.
Practice thinking like a problem-solver who looks for root causes, not quick fixes.
Learn to connect your personal strengths and interests to real opportunities in the world.
If you want a high school experience that builds both joy and purpose in your future work, we invite you to connect with Apprentsix and start designing your path today.
